After 5 trips to hunt in Africa and numerous hunts in the Western USA, I finally got around to hunting Argentina with Catena Safaris Argentina. When our hunt was over, I only had 3 thoughts

2) Why did I wait so long to hunt Argentina

3) How soon can I come back!!!

I had a great hunt with a fantastic guide and took a bruiser of a Red Stag and a nice Blackbuck Antelope. The hunt was everything I could have hoped for.

The lodge was very nice, spotless with comfortable beds, rooms cleaned daily and laundry service (not daily but every 2-3 days). As nice as any lodge I have stayed in while hunting.

But what really set this place apart from all the other places I have hunted were the meals prepared by their executive Chef. Full, hot breakfast every morning before hunting. Sit down lunch after the mornings hunt, short time to relax (siesta’s are a good thing) then the afternoon hunt followed by a tremendous dinner. The food/wine were top notch. Dessert with every lunch and dinner were awesome. The open bar was nice after dinner for a nightcap or two. Honestly, I have never eaten so well on a hunt.

My wife joined me and she was most pleased with the lodge.

Every hunter should experience hunting in Argentina and Catena Safaris Argentina. I can’t wait to go back.

If you want to go to Argentina and fish or hunt, Catena is the one stop shop outfitter. They have 5 star Lodges all over the Country depending on the area you want to hunt. I flew over and they set up EVERYTHING else including airfare and vehicle transportation in Country. I hunted for 5 days and then flew to the fishing Lodge and fished for Dorado, Paccu and Piranha. Cant says enough about these guys and the whole operation. They even set up an awesome tour of Buenos Aires on our last day. If you want a custom trip with city tours, hunting, fishing, wine tours and many many other side trip options call and check them out.

To start with the meals are incredible, and the staff are top notch. There are actually 2 lodges at the main camp. The main lodge is a little larger and accommodates a few more people. Staff are very friendly and more than accommodating to your every request. Now to the hunting, they ask you for what you are interested in harvesting and set you up from there to what areas they are hunting at the time. The game is plentiful, and the guides are ready to make your hunting dreams come true! The language barrier is small, but does get frustrating as we didn’t speak Spanish, and the guides spoke English about the same. Hunting starts after daybreak to maintain an element safety for the guides and hunters. Spot and stalk is typically the way game is harvested, but they will accommodate you in any way they have to make this hunt a hunt of a lifetime I can assure you that! Give them a call or shot them an email and you will in for a hunt of a lifetime!

My dream hunt was to hunt a red stag. My thought was to hunt red stag in New Zealand, but my daughter came home from a Ducks Unlimited dinner and told me she had bought a red stag hunt From Catena Safaris Argentina . Neither one of us had ever done anything like this and did not know what to expect. The hunt exceeded our expectations. Everything was amazing, from booking the Hunt, booking the flights and hotel accommodations plus the transportation to the airports and finally to the lodge was so well done. Everything worked like clock work. Once we arrived at the lodge, you could tell everything was first class, the accommodations, the food, the staff. The guides were very professional, especially our guide, Niko, Santi the lodge host was fantastic. My daughter and I harvested some amazing animals. It was an amazing seven days. Once the hunt was over, the professionalism continued. I had some difficulties with the shipment of my trophies and Santiago helped me through the problems. Thank you, Santi. You’re amazing. This was a hunt of a lifetime that I will never forget. Thank you CATENA for making it possible.

We had an absolutely amazing time on our recent trip to Catena Safaris. Everything about their operation is top notch and well worth the trip from Alaska! From the second you’re picked up at the airport, you’re exposed to the Argentinian hospitality. Everyone from the camp hosts, to wait staff, to the guides are incredible people, dedicated to providing a world class experience. And man did they provide! And to top it off, the animals are incredible also, with ample opportunity’s and the ability to harvest an animal of a lifetime! Our wives accompanied to the lodge as non-hunters, and they had an equally amazing experience, hanging out at the lodge and enjoying the fine Argentinian wine! I cannot recommend Catena Safaris enough, and will absolutely be back in the future!

My recent trip To Catena Safaris was on my Bucket list and it was a huge success!!! I bagged a nice Red Stag and Black buck. The staff, guides, everybody were first rate and the nicest people. The food was amazing!!!! I highly recommend Catena Safaris, you won’t be disappointed, I promise :):):)
